Huatal - Closed Cooling Tower Manufacturer & Industrial Cooling Tower Solution Provider
Cross-flow closed cooling tower is a common industrial equipment used to cool hot water or other fluids. Its working principle is as follows:
1. First, hot water enters the top of the cooling tower through pipes, and then is evenly sprayed onto the packing layer through nozzles distributed in the tower.
2. The packing layer is composed of many thin sheets or blocks of materials, usually made of plastic or metal. The purpose of the packing is to increase the contact area and make the heat exchange between hot water and air more efficient.
3. When hot water is sprayed from the nozzle onto the packing layer, it forms a thin film and contacts the air rising from the bottom of the cooling tower. The air passes through the packing layer and exchanges heat with the hot water.
4. Air enters the cooling tower from the bottom and is drawn into the tower by a fan or blower. When passing through the packing layer, the heat transfer between the air and the hot water causes the temperature of the hot water to decrease.
5. The cooled water is collected from the bottom sump and then discharged from the cooling tower through pipes.
6. At the same time, the air after heat exchange is discharged from the top of the tower, which will take away the heat and cool the hot water.
The working principle of the cross-flow closed cooling tower mainly relies on the heat exchange between hot water and air to achieve the cooling effect. Through the design of the spraying and filler layer, the contact area can be increased and the heat exchange efficiency can be improved. This type of cooling tower is usually used in industrial production processes that require a large amount of cooling water, such as power plants, chemical plants, etc.
