Huatal - Closed Cooling Tower Manufacturer & Industrial Cooling Tower Solution Provider
Closed cooling towers, also known as closed cooling towers or closed cooling towers, play an increasingly important role in industrial cooling. But sometimes the closed cooling tower system cannot be installed in time after being delivered to the construction site. The maintenance during the initial storage and idle period has an important impact on the overall life of the equipment. How to maintain the closed cooling tower during the idle period? Let's take a look at it together.
If the closed cooling tower is idle for more than one month, in addition to maintaining all parts in accordance with the requirements of the maintenance manual, we also need to perform the following additional work under the premise of following safety regulations:
If the closed cooling tower is idle for more than one month, in addition to maintaining all parts in accordance with the requirements of the maintenance manual, we also need to perform the following additional work under the premise of following safety regulations:
1. Manually rotate the fan bearings and motor bearings at least once a month. After confirming that the cut-off switch of the unit has been locked and marked, grab the fan blades by hand (or remove the water pump motor fan cover) and rotate them for a few weeks to check for any abnormalities.
2. Whether the anti-corrosion layer on the surface of the equipment is intact and whether the parts are corroded. If the above phenomenon occurs, it is necessary to check whether the surrounding environment is harsh and whether there are factors that damage the cooling tower. Excessive chloride ion Cl⁻ and sulfur dioxide SO₂ content in the air will corrode the closed cooling tower parts.
3. If the equipment is idle for longer than 1 month, fill the gear reducer with oil. Drain the oil to the normal oil level before operation.
4. If the equipment is idle for longer than 1 month, lubricate the fan shaft bearing and the full threaded bolts used to adjust the motor.
5. Perform insulation inspection of the motor every six months.
6. Ensure that the water in the pipeline, water pump body, and cooling tower coil is emptied to prevent ice damage to the equipment in winter. (If antifreeze is added to the system, ignore this item)
