Why use Zinc Magnesium Aluminum Alloy Coated Plate for closed cooling tower

Magnesium aluminum zinc plating treatment is just like the hot dip galvanized (as opposed to a electric galvanized). This materials are divided into zinc magnesium aluminum alloy coated plate and zinc magnesium aluminum alloy coated roll. Before we received from steel traders, they are all original rolls, and we made it to plate by ourselves. The detailed ingredient is 11% aluminum, 3% magnesium, and a minuscule amount of about 0.5% silicon and all the rest is zinc.

Advantages of zinc magnesium aluminum alloy coated plate:

1. Performance advantage: other such as zinc plating, aluminum zinc plating, its corrosion and rust resistance can not be compared with zinc magnesium aluminum plating. Compared with zinc plating, with the same thickness coating, zinc magnesium aluminum plating’s service life is 10 to 20 times of zinc plating. And the original purpose of zinc magnesium aluminum plating is to use the thinnest coating metal to achieve the effect that a thicker coating can. Which is 3-5 times of aluminum zinc plating.

2. Specification advantage: The maximum specification of zinc-plated plate is 2.0mm. And the maximum specification of aluminum zinc plating is 2.5mm. But the maximum specification of zinc magnesium aluminum plating can be up to 9.0mm, 0.27-9mm is the range of its production.

3. Incision protection: incision protection is also called self-healing, which only zinc magnesium aluminum plating has this special skill. Please keep in mind that only zinc magnesium aluminum plating has this protection to ensure that no corrosion happened, and that the surface coating is fluid and will gradually wrap around the exposed base metal over time without requiring any additional treatment.

 

The shell of Huata closed cooling tower is imported POSCO zinc magnesium aluminum alloy coated plate (25 years service life). Which has a strong corrosion resistance to "salt", and its service life is more than 25 years.

Here we can simply calculate the cost: as a cooling tower buyer, you purchase a cooling tower with normal galvanized sheet, which can only use 2 years, and then every two years you have to keep replace the shell for 20 years, and keep doing it for 10 times total. But with zinc magnesium aluminum alloy coated plates, you can continues use it for 20 year.   How much for the 10 sets of replaced shell? And the labor cost? Maintenance cost?
