What is the operating principle and characteristic of closed cross flow cooling tower

With the development of industrial manufacturing, closed cooling towers are more and more used in industrial cooling area. There are three types of closed cooling towers: counter flow type, cross flow type and hybrid flow type. So today we would like to share with you about the classic HBY type closed cross flow cooling tower, and its operating principle and  characteristics.

Operating principle of HBY type closed cross flow cooling tower: The working fluid (Pure water or other fluids) circulating in the closed coil pipes. The heat of working fluid radiated to the water which spraied on the coil pipes. At the same time, dry/cold air pass through air strainer, which cross the dropping water, taking heat away by evaporation, and exhausted to the atmosphere by ventilator.

The rest of water dropped into the water pond, and get into the circulatory system by water pump, and sprays on the coil pipes again.

Characteristics of HBY type closed cross flow cooling tower:

·Imported POSCO Zinc Magnesium Aluminum Alloy Coated Plate with outstanding anti-corrosion effect. The service life is around 10-20 times of normal galvanized plate, the surface coating has fluidity, with cut protection (automatic healing).
