Energy saving methods of closed cooling tower

In recent years, power supply has been tight in most cities, and the price of electricity has been increasing. Especially, the consumption of industrial manufacturing enterprises remains high. Therefore, the control of power cost has obviously become the most concerned problem for industrial enterprises. Closed cooling tower is more and more widely used in industrial cooling. Today,we will share with you some energy saving methods of closed cooling tower.




In order to meet the higher requirements of energy conservation, combined with the requirements and effect of the actual operating capacity of closed cooling tower, make full use of the change of external environment and load conditions, take appropriate and effective measures, can certainly make the cooling capacity of cooling tower match with the actual cooling load, so as to save energy consumption.



The energy saving methods and effective measures of closed cooling tower are as follows:

1. Increase automation.

With automatic temperature control, according to the water temperature, automatically open or close the spray pump, save energy and water. In general, two stages of cooling can be implemented. When the temperature reaches a certain set temperature, the fan can start and stop. When the temperature is lower than the set minimum, it can save energy and water by controlling  start or stop the spraying pump.

2. Adjust and change the cooling tower blade angle.

The rotation speed of the fan is constant, and the angle of fan blade can be adjusted within the original setting angle range. The larger the blade angle, the larger the air volume. The smaller the blade Angle, the smaller the air volume.

If the external air condition or thermal load is significantly reduced, it is not necessary to run under full capacity. The fan can be suspended to adjust the small blade Angle appropriately, adjust the air volume, and effectively save electricity consumption.

3. Change the fan rotation speed.

4. Use variable speed motor and frequency conversion control unit.

The cooling tower adopts variable speed motor, which can adjust the speed of motor, with  frequency converter.

5. Control the number of motors used for cooling tower fan

When there are several cooling towers in the system or several fans in each group of cooling towers, with the reduction of cooling load or the reduction of outdoor air wet bulb temperature, the number of fan motors to run will be gradually reduced to save energy consumption.

 


6. The fan starts or stops directly controlled by the temperature regulator.

When the outdoor air temperature (wet bulb) decreases in winter, the cooling capability of  cooling tower increased, and the water temperature at the outlet pipe decreased obviously. The temperature regulator senses the water temperature change, and stops the fan, so as to prevent the water temperature from being too low and save energy.
