The position of closed cooling tower in circulating water cooling system Part.2 --Huatal Cooling Tower

The cooling tower equipment can be divided into open type and closed type, so the circulating water cooling system also divided into open type and closed type. The design and operation of the open-type system require cooling pool or water basin, which mainly rely on the evaporation of water to reduce the water temperature. But the cooling water is often blown away by the fan used in cooling tower, therefore, open type cooling tower's circulating water system need fresh water supply. The water replenishment usually exceeds the loss from evaporation and drifting, so some circulating water (called sewage) must be discharged to maintain the water capacity. 

Also, during the daily operation,  the open type circulating water cooling system directly contact with the open air, so the dust and microorganisms will enter the circulating water. In addition, carbon dioxide leakage and material leakage in heat exchange equipment, it also changes the quality of the circulating water.  For these reasons, open type circulating water requires treatment, including sediment control, corrosion control and microbial control. 

Due to these reason, closed type cooling tower becoming more and more popular. Cause the circulating water flows in a closed circuit pipe system, and the wind is usually used to dissipate heat outside the pipe. There is no other factor to change the quality of circulating water except the material leakage of heat exchange equipment itself.
